Updates

I have moved this article to the correctly capitalized form (old form now a redirect). I will also be making various augmentations in the next several weeks. ~ J. Johnson (JJ) (talk) 22:32, 1 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]

And that's pretty much the extent of the changes I contemplate. I think the current size is about right for this project's notability. ~ J. Johnson (JJ) (talk) 22:42, 5 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Reverting of new copy

Actually, J. Johnson, I think that most newcomers want to know what USarray does, first, and the politics and funding, second. (I speak as a private-sector philistine.) Valetude (talk) 00:49, 17 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]

I don't know where you get this bit about "the politics". As to the funding (as well as the organizational structure), I don't see any problem with mentioning what USArray is in the first sentence. Indeed, I suspect most readers might want to now that first. As it is, a complex relationship is described succinctly, and then it's done, we move on. The second sentence goes into what USArray does, with the rest of the article being essentially an expansion of that. I am not certain how the funding/organization info could be inserted at any later point and not seem detached. But feel free to make suggestions. ~ J. Johnson (JJ) (talk) 00:28, 18 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]
