Nate Holzapfel
Nate Holzapfel (born Nathanael Reid Holzapfel, February 5, 1979)[1] is the creative force and co-founder behind the Mission Belt Company headquartered in Utah. Born in Provo, Utah, Nate spent his childhood growing up in Orange County, California and rural Woodland, Utah. He prides himself on never having passed an opportunity to fuel his passions for entrepreneurship and fighting world hunger. Every time the company sells a Mission Belt, a portion of the proceeds goes to assist hungry families through intraframe micro lending on a global level. To date, the company has helped over 15,000 families in the fight against hunger.
Similarly to innovators such as Bill Gates, Mark Zuckerberg and even Elizabeth Holmes, Nate dropped out of college to pursue a career in sales. Having sold everything from cars, to insurance in Mexico and even houses over the telephone, Nate Holzapfel became an expert in marketing. He states, “I've always been good at my job and was always a top performer. But I felt trapped. I sold everything I own and put all of my efforts into the best idea I had. The rest is history.” In June of 2011, he launched the Mission Belt Company. Accessories have always held a huge portion of the fashion industry, however, no one company had focused solely on belts. Fashion houses designed and created them as an afterthought. Nate had a vision to create a company that made only belts, the first of its kind in the fashion industry to ever truly brand a belt. Oakley was first with Sunglasses, Skullcandy was successful with making headphones a fashionable accessory, and Nate’s vision was to accomplish this with Mission Belts.
In the Spring of 2013, Nate appeared on ABC’s Shark Tank, pitching the Sharks in seeking a capital investment. He struck a deal with fashion mogul and branding expert, Daymond John. Nate pitched to the Sharks that the “old way of selling is dead.” His ideaology and method proved not only correct, but to be a huge success.
Early life
He was born to Richard Neitzel Holzapfel and Jeni Broberg Holzapfel in Provo, Utah, United States.[1] He is the oldest of five children, including his younger brother and business partner Zachary Holzapfel. When Nate was one year old his family moved to Irvine, California, for his father's schooling. When he was 13 the family moved to a small town of Woodland, Utah. Entering the workforce at 14, Nate developed a strong work ethic. Barely graduating highschool, Holzapfel lived abroad in the Middle East and then served a two year mission for the LDS church in Southern Chile.
He briefly attended college. However, Holzapfel found a greater passion in sales. Nate has sold several things including real estate over the phone, automobiles, and insurance in Mexico.
Career
Mission Belt Co.
Mission Belt Co. was founded on the idea of being a belt company.. "Everyone that makes belts does it as an afterthought, this is a company that makes belts as a core product."

He appeared on Shark Tank[3] and was able to negotiate a deal with fashion brand icon Daymond John.
