The Governor of Dnipropetrovsk Oblast is the head of executive branch for the Dnipropetrovsk Oblast. The post replaced the previous Communist position of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Committee of the Communist Party of the Soviet Union.
The office of Governor is an appointed position, with officeholders being appointed by the President of Ukraine, on recommendation from the Prime Minister of Ukraine, to serve four year term.
The official residence for the Governor is located in Dnipropetrovsk. The current Governor is Ihor Kolomoyskyi, who assumed office on March 2, 2014.
