Step 1: Edit your assignment plan
The assignment plan published by the Assignment Design Wizard is intended as a starting point. Now you can edit this page to fit your class more closely. If you find that it's not a suitable starting point for your assignment, you can go back and try the wizard again.
Once you've edited the assignment plan as much as you'd like to, it's time to get it into the course page system.
Step 2: Request the course instructor right
Before you make your course page live, you'll need to let the rest of the Wikipedia community know about your course, and you'll need to be given the course instructor user right. Just click below and follow the instructions to post your request. If you have taught with Wikipedia before, you may already have been granted the course instructor right, in which case you can skip this step. Step 3: Make your course page live
To make your course page live once you have the instructor right:
- Go to Special:Institutions. If your institution already has an entry in the list, click it. If not, add your institution by putting in the name and clicking "Add institution" near the top of the page.
- From your institution page, add a new course. Put in the course name and term and click "Add course".
- In the "Page text" region, replace the default text with this:
{{ Wikipedia:Education program/Assignment Design Wizard/request instructor right }}
- [Optional] Add an enrollment token, which is a code of your choosing that students will need in order to enroll.
- Put in the start and end dates of your course, then click "Submit".
- In the Summary box at the bottom of the page, click "Become an instructor".
