Panorama is a database engine and development environment for Macintosh and Windows.
The current version for Mac is 5.5 (in beta) and 5.0 in general release. For Windows, the current version is 4.0.
Panorama is made by Provue Development. According to its owner Jim Rea, Provue is the oldest software company (save Microsoft) developing software for the Macintosh.
Panorama's claim to fame is that the databases it creates are RAM-based. This makes them awfully fast. Panorama is not as popular as FileMaker Pro, its main competitor, though it has outlasted many similar products.
