AMD Core Math Library (ACML) is a software development library released by AMD. This library provides mathematical routines optimized for AMD processors.

Originally developed in 2002 for use in high-performance computing (HPC) and scientific computing, ACML allows nearly optimal use of AMD Opteron processors in compute-intensive applications.[citation needed]

Features

ACML consists of the following main components: [1]

Supported platforms

AMD offers pre-compiled binaries for Linux, Solaris, and Windows available for download. Supported compilers include gfortran, Intel Fortran Compiler, Microsoft Visual Studio, NAG, PathScale, PGI compiler, and Sun Studio.[2]
