Abstract and Applied Analysis is a peer-reviewed mathematical journal focusing on papers in the fields of abstract and applied analysis and traditional forms of analysis such as linear and nonlinear, both ordinary and partial differential equations, optimization theory, and control theory. It was established by Athanassios G. Kartsatos (University of South Florida, Tampa) in 1996, who was editor-in-chief until 2005. Abstract and Applied Analysis has faced delisting from Thomson Reuter's impact factor for anomalous citation patterns.[1]
