Autonomous Decentralized System (ADS)

An ADS is a system that provide autonomous computing in spite of system or component failures. It will continue to operate with the following assumptions:

1. A system will always have faulty parts; and

2. The system may change, sometimes rapidly, alternating between operation, maintenance, and growth.

The system may be changed during operation including subsystem failures, and the system may grow or shrink depending on the system status.
