Knowledge value chain
A knowledge value chain' is a sequence of intellectual tasks by which knowledge workers build their employer's unique competitive advantage and/or social and environmental benefit. As an example, the components of a research and development project form a knowledge value chain.
Productivity improvements in a knowledge value chain may come from knowledge integration in its original sense and also as "knowledge integration" denotes the use of knowledge management techniques, particularly work-embedded learning, to improve a business process or processes. Canada's Edge Performance Consultants [1] are "knowledge integration leaders" in the latter sense.
TW Powell Co. in Manhattan [2] holds a US trademark on The Knowledge Value Chain, a "proprietary process model linking business information with enterprise value."
