Magnetomechanical effects are the group of effects connecting magnetic, mechanical and electric phenomena.
- Magnetostriction - changes of the geometry of magnetized sample
- Inverse magnetostrictive effect - changes of magnetization of sample subjected to mechanical stresses
- Wiedeman effect -
- Matteucci effect
- Guillemin effect
Magnetostriction and inverse magnetostriction effect are thermodynamically oposite effects. Also Wiedemann and Matteuci effects are thermodynamically inverse effects.
