How to Build a Better Boy is an upcoming Disney Channel Original Movie directed by Paul Hoen and written by Jason Mayland. It stars China Anne McClain, Kelli Berglund and Marshall Williams.[1] The first images were shown during a promo for Disney Channel's Summer 2014, while the first promo aired on June 27, 2014 during the premiere of the Disney Channel Original Movie Zapped. The film is set to premiere on August 15, 2014. [2]
Plot
High school sophomores Mae (Kelli Berglund) and Gabby (China Anne McClain) are super-smart, tech-savvy best friends who are outcasts at their school. When Mae is embarrassed at school by popular girl Nevaeh, Gabby offers to create a virtual boyfriend with just a few strokes of the keyboard and a wireless connection. What Mae and Gabby don’t realize, is that the computer they use is set up to generate a robotic super soldier, which they have inadvertently activated in the form of Albert (Marshall Williams), a macho yet sensitive super cute hunkalicious boy.
