Assael Architecture

Assael Architecture is a British architectural firm based in London, established in 1994.
Background
Assael Architecture was established in 1994, co-founded and owned by John Assael and Russell Pedley. Registered in the United Kingdom and a RIBA Chartered Practice.[1] The firm's principal studios are located in London.[2] It is a member of the AJ100, consisting of the 100 largest architecture practices in the UK and ranked by the Architects' Journal in 2013 as the 59th largest practice in Britain.[3] Notable buildings include the Great Northern Tower in Manchester, Tachbrook Triangle on Vauxhall Bridge Road, Westminster, London which won a RIBA Housing Design Award in 2007.
John Assael was formerly a nationally elected member of RIBA Council and, until 2012, was vice-president responsible for professional services. In addition to these posts he was chairman of the RIBA Journal. He is a trustee of the Architects Benevolent Society and a member of its Executive Committee. He is an elected member to the Architect's Registration Board, the profession's regulator. He is an external examiner at The Bartlett, Huddersfield University and London Metropolitan and has lectured at Cardiff, Oxford Brookes, Manchester, Nottingham and Westminster universities.
