MinkMe is a multi-platform, quick networking mobile application for individuals as well as organizations. The application is available on Google Android, Apple iOS, Microsoft Windows phone, laptops, Apple iPads and tablets. Its name was derived from the term wink.MinkMe was initiated in January 2013 in India by Abhishek Gupta, a Harvard University pass-out. It was launched in March 2014. MinkMe is a product of Indianmesh Pvt. Ltd. which was founded in September 2011. The company employs 50 people.

For using the application, users would first have to register themselves to receive a MinkMe ID after which, they can create their profiles, include pictures, update statuses and exchange messages, pictures, drawings, videos files and audio files. In addition to this, one can tag locations, join exclusive groups and send as well as receive location based notifications, bulletins and advertisements. Users can search and add each other in their MinkMe friend list through contact numbers or names, email ID’s or just the MinkMe ID’s. MinkMe allows anyone above 13 years of age to be the user of the application.
