Sparse matrix–vector multiplication

Sparse matrix-vector multiplication (SpMV) of the form $y=Ax$ is a widely-used computational kernel existing in many scientific applications. The input matrix $A$ is sparse and the input vector $x$ and the output vector $y$ are dense.
