UN Budget
Where did you get these numbers? They seem to reflect the ENTIRE UN's budget for 2010-2011, not UNDP. I could be wrong, but let's see some sources being cited, eh? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 209.2.48.130 (talk) 22:06, 11 April 2010 (UTC)
- The budget can be found on the UNDP's annual report.Other dictionaries are better (talk) 12:46, 27 May 2011 (UTC)
Style for names of organisations
Note to people for future reference -- when giving the name of an organization, proper style (see e.g. the Australian Government Style Manual) dictates you should spell it in the manner prefered by the organization, regardless of your personal dialect of English. I.e. write "United Nations Development Programme" even if you normal spell program as "program", not "programme", and write "World Health Organization" even if you normally spell organization as "organisation", not "organization". -- SJK Commonsense dictates you should pull your head out of your ass.
Millenium Development Goals
Since 2000, UNDP is in pursuit of a set of Millenium Development Goals to reduce global poverty and improving quality of life worldwide.
VOTE!! - HDI in country infobox/template?
The Human Development Index (HDI) is a standard UN measure/rank of how developed a country is or is not. It is a composite index based on GDP per capita (PPP), literacy, life expectancy, and school enrollment. However, as it is a composite index/rank, some may challenge its usefulness or applicability as information.
Thus, the following question is put to a vote:
Should any, some, or all of the following be included in the Wikipedia country infobox/template:
- (1) Human Development Index (HDI) for applicable countries, with year;
- (2) Rank of country’s HDI;
- (3) Category of country’s HDI (high, medium, or low)?
YES / NO / UNDECIDED/ABSTAIN - vote here
Thanks!

Current Admin
Helen Clark has become the leader of the programme. The above section is yet to be amended, in that the previous leader is still shown as current. I have limited knowledge of this issue, therefore i thought it best to leave the editing of this section to someone with greater knowledge. I am simply bringing this error to light. -- Danreilly123(talk) 10:37, 30 April 2009 (UTC)
"Goodwill Embassy" hacked?
It looks to me as if the "Goodwill Embassy" site mentioned in this article has been hacked, corrupted, subverted, or something. When I tried following the link in the article, I didn't like where I landed. I've temporarily removed the link in the main text of the article; if others can investigate and find that the link to goodwillembassy.net (or whatever it was) is now OK, I certainly don't object to having this edit undone. -- Bill-on-the-Hill (talk) 00:21, 8 March 2013 (UTC)
UNDP Evaluation misrepresented
"According to a report from UNDP's evaluation office in 2013, no reduction in poverty as a result of UNDP's operations could be detected anywhere over the span of a decade.[1] ."
This article has been widely criticized and discredited in the media (see http://www.dagensarena.se/opinion/staffan-landin-farlig-faktabrist-om-bistand-i-svd/ ) for misrepresenting facts from 2013 UNDP Evaluation, and as such be removed as a citation.
I will be updating this section, quoting the actual UNDP evaluation that this report misrepresents.

- Hi blaschke. I disagree that the Svenska Dagbladet article by Jenny Nordenberg has been discredited, Staffan Landin writing in Dagens Arena is just a journalist just has Nordenberg is and thus is not a stronger source on UNDP matters than Nordenberg is. Also in Wikipedia we prefer WP:SECONDARY to WP:PRIMARY sources and so we should cite both Landin and Nordenberg in the article as a priority before we cite primary source material. Tidy up introduction
As I did for UNCTAD I propose rewriting the opener for the sake of clarity Respublicans (talk) 11:07, 4 March 2014 (UTC)
Funding
It would be interesting to have some information on where the money for the UNDP, the budget, comes from -it may be from the UN and perhaps it is already stated in the UN article or not- but then again even if that is the case the section could contain just a paragraph with general information and then an article to the link.

Discrimination
I have been told and I am aware that the UNDP discriminates in some of its recruitment processes but I am not sure if I can write it without reference it externally.
I have found in their careers site that for a position in Bolivia for instance, they require the candidate to be a Danish speaker and of Danish or European Union nationality only. This is strange to say the least. [2]
