Percona is a software and services company specializing in database support, development, consulting and training. The company was founded in 2006 by Peter Zaitsev and Vadim Tkachenko, and is headquartered in Pleasanton, California.

The company provides enterprise-grade MySQL support, consulting, training, remote DBA, and server development services to companies including Cisco Systems, Alcatel-Lucent, Groupon, and the BBC.

Percona also organizes the Percona Live MySQL Conference series, held in various cities each year.

Awards

  • Percona was recognized as The Top Innovator in the SQL Technologies category of the 2013 DeveloperWeek Best of Tech Awards.[1]
  • Percona was named to the inaugural DBTA 100 list of the companies that matter most in data.[2]
