OASIS Model stands for Open Architecture System Integration Strategy and is one of the most important concepts of Apple's Mac OS operating system (at least up to Mac OS 9.x). It is a clearly separated model with various strata, where each stratum has clearly-defined interfaces to the next. It describes the rules for interaction between Application, User Interface, Toolbox (APIs), operating system and hardware.
