History

The journal began publishing in January 1968 and continues to the present. The founding editors were A.J. Hoffman, A.S. Householder, A.M. Ostrowski, H. Schneider, and O. Taussky Todd.[2]

Scope and impact factor

The Linear Algebra and its Applications is a mathematics journal covering matrix theory and finite-dimensional linear algebra. According to the Journal Citation Reports, its 2012 5-year impact factor is 1.032. It has an h-index of 49.[3]
