Kevin Corson

Over the last 25 years, Kevin Corson (born April 10, 1957) has developed or brought to market a number of popular cutting-edge, computer-based technologies. They include several worlds’ firsts, such as the first soundcard and voice-recognition products, which include The Sound Master, Voice Blaster, Modem Blaster and Sound Blaster (COVOX, Creative Labs).

Kevin also brought to market the popular Windows audio-editing software Sound Forge, (Sonic Foundry/SONY), and created the world’s first full-duplex Internet phone for the PC and MAC (DigiPhone), enabling two or more people to speak over the Internet to each other at the same time. (Wired Magazine[1], PC World, NY Times, Wall Street Journal). He was also responsible for bringing to market the first handheld software products, Pilot Goodies and The Breeze for Palm Pilots[2], picked by Comp-USA and Staples as an OEM product for use with their own support packages.)

Kevin has been a technical and product marketing consultant for companies such as The Dallas Cowboys, Delco, Dial, Ford, Honda, The J. Paul Getty Center and Titan & Wrigley. He founded the High-Tech Broadcasting Network (HBN Inc.) in 1999 to develop The Network Guide[3], the world’s first “web-free guide” to online digital content, and a new generation of Web-Free Internet broadcasting, content management and secure peer-to-peer networking technologies.

Kevin is also credited for writing two chapters on “Internet Downloading and Peer-fo-Peer” networking in “ONLINE – THE BOOK” by John Dvorak and Chris Pirillo.

Kevin lives in Eugene, Oregon with his wife Donna.
