Asian railstations
Propose allowing rail station templates for all Asian countries with a population greater than 20 million:
- {{Afghanistan-railstation-stub}}. Upmerge to Category:Afghan building and structure stubs
- {{Bangladesh-railstation-stub}}. Upmerge to Category:Bangladeshi building and structure stubs
- {{Burma-railstation-stub}}. Upmerge to Category:Burma transport stubs and Category:Burmese building and structure stubs
- {{Indonesia-railstation-stub}}. Upmerge to Category:Indonesia transport stubs and Category:Indonesian building and structure stubs
- {{Iran-railstation-stub}}. Upmerge to Category:Iran transport stubs and Category:Iranian building and structure stubs
- {{Iraq-railstation-stub}}. Upmerge to Category:Iraqi building and structure stubs
- {{Malaysia-railstation-stub}}. Upmerge to Category:Malaysia rail transport stubs and Category:Malaysian building and structure stubs
- {{Nepal-railstation-stub}}. Upmerge to Category:Nepalese building and structure stubs
- {{Philippines-railstation-stub}}. Upmerge to Category:Philippines transportation stubs and Category:Philippines building and structure stubs
- {{SaudiArabia-railstation-stub}}. Upmerge to Category:Saudi Arabian building and structure stubs
- {{Syria-railstation-stub}}. Upmerge to Category:Syrian building and structure stubs
- {{Taiwan-railstation-stub}}. Upmerge to Category:Taiwan rail transportation stubs and Category:Taiwanese building and structure stubs
- {{Thailand-railstation-stub}}. Upmerge to Category:Thailand transport stubs and Category:Thai building and structure stubs
- {{Uzbekistan-railstation-stub}}. Upmerge to Category:Uzbekistani building and structure stubs
- {{Yemen-railstation-stub}}. Upmerge to Category:Middle Eastern building and structure stubs and Category:Yemen stubs
Also upmerge all of these templates to Category:Asian railway station stubs. Dawynn (talk) 13:35, 30 April 2013 (UTC)
- Support. Anyone with access to a national railway timetable for the countries in question ought to be able to create several stub articles fairly quickly. Eastmain (talk • contribs) 08:57, 9 November 2013 (UTC)
Women's footballer templates
Italian painter stubs
Urge speedy creation. There are already Italy-painter-14thC, 15thC, 16thC, 17thC, By the way, add in a 20thC-stub --Rococo1700 (talk) 21:22, 28 April 2013 (UTC)
- It seems you copy-pasted a category page into {{Italy-painter-19thC-stub}}, but I fixed it into an upmerged template. I'm wondering though if upmerged templates like that needs another category than Category:Italian painter stubs. I see the 19th century stub-template now is used on 17 articles, I don't see the point of having templates for every century BC, so you should find a reasonable number of stubs for each template, even if there are upmerged. Request, to pick up {{Universalism-stub}}. (32 P) --Devin Murphy (talk) 20:39, 13 April 2013 (UTC)
- Oppose - only 31 transclusions, not the stub category for a WikiProject. עוד מישהו Od Mishehu 13:44, 14 April 2013 (UTC)
- Weak oppose - It could, potentially, be a stub category for the Unitarian Universalism work group, but there is already a stub category for Category:Unitarian Universalism stubs which has only 34 articles. I don't know how many additional articles might be creatable based on the list at Wikipedia:WikiProject Religion/Unitarian Universalism work group/Encyclopedic articles, because it doesn't differentiate between Unitarian, Universalism, and Unitarian Universalism, but I think it might make more sense to create some of the missing articles relevant to universalism first. - There has been a wrench thrown into this proposal by User:Fadesga. Fadesga has removed {{Universalism-stub}} from the Universalist related biography subs that I had put it on and created {{Universalism-bio-stub}} and put it on the Universalist related biography subs instead. Their rationale for this change is this; "the Category:Religion stubs is overpopulated, while the Category:Religious biography stubs is underpopulated". Now {{Universalism-stub}} is only used on 4 stubs. I wonder how this will impact this proposal? --Devin Murphy (talk) 21:47, 19 April 2013 (UTC)
- A different proposal. I have been looking at these stub templates, that seem to be related to each other:
- {{UnitarianUniversalism-stub}} with 36 stubs (and they have their own, too small, stub category),
- {{Unitarianism-stub}} with 25 stubs (and they also have their own, too small, stub category)
- {{Universalism-stub}} + the directly related {{Universalism-bio-stub}}, together there are 32 stubs (and Devin Murphy is proposing a category).
- My proposal is somehow different. Given the fact that there are already two underpopulated categories, I am thinking about some kind of redistribution. (Further looking at other related categories, I see that there is an existing {{Unitarian, Universalist and Unitarian Universalist topics}}). Instead of having each template a separate category, there could be an "umbrella" stub category taking up all of them; or an alternative, using transcluded templates:
- a new Category:Universalism stubs including {{Universalism-stub}} + {{Universalism-bio-stub}} + {{UnitarianUniversalism-stub}} = 68 stubs,
- the existing Category:Unitarianism stubs could include {{Unitarianism-stub}} + {{UnitarianUniversalism-stub}} = 61 stubs.
- My 2 cents... --Fadesga (talk) 12:03, 21 April 2013 (UTC)
- Category:Universalism stubs would be under my proposal a subcategory of Category:Universalism. I am proposing that all articles marked {{Universalism-stub}} and {{Universalism-bio-stub}} be put into this new category. I am making this proposal as a way to list all the Universalisim stub artistic separately from the Unitarian Universalism ones in the same manner as is done with the Unitarianism subs using Category:Unitarianism stubs. I feel this is a good thing to do as it helps folks who would like to work on only one of these arias and not all three of them to have an easy way to do this. I am open though to alliterative ways to achieve this. --Devin Murphy (talk) 17:34, 29 June 2013 (UTC)
