Area code 802
Appearance

North American area code 802 is the state of Vermont's sole telephone area code. It was established as one of the original area codes in October, 1947.
Vermont is among the decreasing number of North American jurisdictions with only one area code, and 802 has become a source of pride in the state. "802" clothing is popular,[1] and Woodchuck Hard Cider has a flavor of hard cider named 802 after the area code. A rap music video entitled 802, produced by two Vermont high school students in 2007, went viral with over 260,000 views on YouTube as of October 2013.
