A Shore Based Test Facility or the SBTF (also known as Land Based Test Facility) is used for the flight testing of aircraft that operates from aircraft carriers. They are also used for the training of the pilots who will operate the aircraft from the aircraft carriers. Only three countries in the world has SBTF or LBTF, they are the United States, Ukraine and India.[1][2]
