"I'm Letting Go"
Song

"I'm Letting Go" is the first single from My Paper Heart, the first studio album from American recording artist Francesca Battistelli.[1]

Release

In addition to Battistelli's debut album, her It's Your Life EP, her "I'm Letting Go [Studio Series Performance Track]" and the My Paper Heart: Dented Fender Sessions, the composition has been featured on WOW Hits 2009.[2]

Critical reception

The rhythm pattern of the song has been compared to Sara Bareilles' hit single "Love Song".[3] Christian Broadcasting Network states that the song "highlights Francesca’s expressive vocals" and "her overarching desire to encourage her peers not to settle for anything less than what God has for them".[4]

Accolades

As the lead single from My Paper Heart, the song was the 16th most-played song on Christian radio of 2008,[5] and was also nominated for Pop/Contemporary Recorded Song of the Year.[6]
