This page details homework assignments for Writing Wikipedia Articles: The Basics and Beyond,
a free course offered through Peer to Peer University's School of Open.

Week 2 homework

Do:

  • Compile a short list of open education articles you might want to work on (see the Communicate OER Content page for ideas). List these on your user page or talk page. This task is critical as it feeds into your main assignment for the course, to be introduced in Week 3.
  • Read the Communicate OER Content page and/or open educational resources article
  • Review the OER article, or any article you plan to work on, on its talk page. Is it relevant/thorough? What would you like to change, add or delete? See here for suggestions about how to post your review: WP:Communicate OER Article Review
  • Continue making small edits to one or more Wikipedia articles: fixing typos, sentence structure, adding photographs; practice on your own. See Wikipedia:Community portal for a list of suggested pages to fix, categorized by the kind of work they need. (See Wikipedia:articles for improvement in particular!)

Week 2 extra credit

Begin to monitor its talk page on at least a weekly basis, and start or participate in at least one discussion there.
