SNET America, Inc. is an AT&T long distance telephone company that serves Connecticut. It competes to provide long distance service for SNET customers. Sale
On December 17, 2013, AT&T announced plans to sell SNET America and its companion ILEC Southern New England Telephone to Frontier Communications for $2 billion. The transaction is expected to close in the second half of 2014[1].
