Misuse Section
So...I'm new to wikipedia editing, and I don't want to step on anyone's toes here, but does anyone else think the "Misuse of statistical terminology" is incorrect, in addition to being weirdly condescending? The examples of statistics don't have much to do with statistical parameters... — Preceding unsigned comment added by Chagmony (talk • contribs) 16:33, 2 February 2013 (UTC)
- That section did indeed need editing, which I have just performed. I invited further editors from editors who know statistics well. -- WeijiBaikeBianji (talk, how I edit) 21:58, 10 July 2013 (UTC)
Definitions
Math articles in wikipedia suffer from extremely poor definitions which make the subject difficult to understand for non-mathematicians. This article starts with "Statistical parameter is a parameter......." Honestly! A parameter is a parameter!? Whoever looks up this article is looking for a definition of parameter. In fact, inputting parameter in the search field redirects here. PLEASE, define parameter BEFORE you define statistical parameter. Nowhere in this article is the word parameter actually defined.98.170.198.158 (talk) 03:30, 13 August 2013 (UTC)
