This project has no references... maybe not that many are necessary, but where did the information about the founding (i.e., in 1998) come from? Nels Beckman (talk) 16:18, 11 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Relationship with Sun

What relationship does the JCP have with Sun? Java has been proprietary to Sun, especially to the extent that Sun determines what Java is. Is the JCP and therefore the design of Java now totally independent of Sun? I doubt that. Who controls the membership of the JCP? 173.55.37.192 (talk) 19:34, 21 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]
