AppleScript Editor is an application included in OS X, providing a code editor for the AppleScript scripting language, including basic debugging capabilities. AppleScripts can be saved as plain text (.applescript), compiled script (.scpt), script bundle (.scptd), or as applications. AppleScript Editor also provides access to the scripting dictionaries corresponding to the scriptable applications available on the computer.
