The Open Infrastructure Architecture method, or OIAm, is an open standard for the application of architecture to infrastructure.
- OIAm was created in 2012 as a continuation[1] of the DYA|Infrastructure architecture method.
- Its development is being sponsored by Dutch company BiZZdesign[2]. One of the results of this sponsorship is a Whitepaper outlining the core tenets of OIAm[3];
- The community of infrastructure architects that are involved in OIAm mainly use a LinkedIn group named Open Infrastructure Architecture;
- Modelling infrastructure is done under OIAm using
- The ArchiMate architecture modelling language;
- A generic vocabulary, published under the CC-BY-SA 3.0 license in a wiki designated the OIAr (Open Infrastructure Architecture repository), based on Semantic MediaWiki;
- A workflow based on the work by Gerrit Blaauw[4]
