Neural Engineering Object (NENGO)[1] is a graphic software for simulating large-scale neural systems.

History

Some form of Nengo has existed since 2003. The development process has produced a 3rd-generation modeling software.[2]

Nengo was developed by the Centre for Theoretical Neuroscience (CTN) at the University of Waterloo in Ontario, Canada.[3]

Nengo has been used to model motor control, action selection, inductive reasoning, and problem solving.[4]
