Desired behavior:

  • User installs userscript, opting in with full disclosure limited sharing of ip information with OCLC and their University Institution
  • Article page loads
  • Userscript parses the page for reference tags which uses citation templates
  • An open url request will be formatted and passed to the OCLC API
  • The API will pair that request with the editor's i.p. address (university affiliated) and return true if full text access is available
  • The article page will be layered with a link to that full text available source next to the reference in the article
