Isis Nyong’o

Isis Nyong’o then went on board to drive InMobi’s African business strategy, facilitating the expansion of the Company’s continental base. She takes over from Stephen Newton left the Company to pursue other opportunities. Isis was previously leading Google’s business development initiatives in Africa, where she specialized in mobile partnerships and was responsible for the development of Google’s Africa content strategy. She is the daughter of an American of Russian descent lady and the late Professor Aggrey Nyong’o from Kenya.Her parents’ academic discipline and work helped shape her life.

To date,Isis actively supports various education charities in Kenya and Tanzania .She has been named as one of the top 40 women under 40 in Kenya for several years as well as short listed on the Forbes Top 20 Youngest Power women in Africa and on IT News Africa’s Top 10 Women in ICT. She serves on the boards of the Africa Cancer Foundation and Mango Tree. In January, she was selected as a Young Global Leader by the World Economic Forum.
