Colour Coding is an Australian indie pop band officially formed in 2011 based in Sydney. The band consists of Chris Holland and Tim Commandeur who are former members of the group Operator Please.[1] They split off by taking in their identifiable forte band as cousins. The band released its first EP Proof in March 2012 with the lead single "Perfect" that had been uploaded as a free track online in November 2011.

Early life

At age 12- 13, the cousins Chris and Tim recorded an extended play in Tim's father's studio. In 2005, Tim became co-founder, and drummer of the pop group Operator Please. In 2008, Chris joined the band as drummer.

This very early experience helped the boys realize they had a dream: forming their own band. And so, "Colour Coding" was born.[2]

2011-present: Proof

In September 2011, Hurley Studios (Sydney) produced their first single, Perfect. It was released online as a free-to-upload track that received critical acclaim from different blogs and renowned websites.[3] The track was then added to the fourth digital release by New York label Cosine Records in the US.[1]

In March 2012, the band announced their EP album titled Proof and introduced their concerts.[1]
