Quartermaster sergeant instructor (QMSI) is a senior warrant officer appointment in the UK and Canada.

British Army

Regular Army

Quartermaster sergeant instructor is an appointment held by warrant officers class 2 in the British Army's Small Arms School Corps and Army Physical Training Corps and by some in the Royal Engineers.

Territorial Army

It is also the title used within the Territorial Army for the attached regular NCO (usually a colour sergeant or staff sergeant) responsible for unit administration and stores at sub-unit level (i.e. company or squadron).[citation needed]

Canada

In the Canadian Army, QMSI is an appointment held by the senior master warrant officer within each battalion of the Princess Patricia's Canadian Light Infantry.
