You must add a |reason= parameter to this Cleanup template – replace it with {{Cleanup|reason=<Fill reason here>}}, or remove the Cleanup template.

Reason the license was written: Intel Corporation wrote this license. This license was made for CDSA and CSSM implementation. The goal of the license is to sharing Intel source code among people and at the same time making sure that nobody exploits the Intel brand name for endorsements.

Compatibility with the GPL: Intel Open Source License is based on BSD license which is not compatible with GPL. This license is not compatible with GPL because it does not require people to produce source code it there are using derived work. Whereas in GPL if we use any derived work then we have to produce the source code. In Intel open source license you just have to include the Intel copy right notice.

Derivative Works: Intel Open Source license does not require reproducing the source code but you have to reproduce the copyright notice. And further redistributions need to reproduce the copyright notice. They have to follow the export notice hence derived work is under the same license.

Covered Works: The GPL states that Covered works that are distributed must be accompanied by the source code or offers/methods for access to it. However, this is not true for the Intel open source License.

Charging money for the programs under the license: No, there are no such restrictions for Intel open source license.

Including a copy of the license: This is true for Intel Open source license distributed work must include verbatim copy of the license. It cannot be modified.

Adding to the license: You can have additional requirements or restrictions but you have to follow bare minimum requirements as mentioned in the original license.

Distribution under the license: This is true for Intel Open source License that it is a royalty free license for any patents embodied in the software.

Later Versions: There wasn't anything explicitly mentioned in the license.

Other Relevant Aspects: There are couple noticeable differences from specifically GPL,

1. It has an export law notice which prohibits user to send code to countries prohibited by USA for trade like CUBA, Sudan etc.

2. Other major difference is that it does not require you to reproduce the source code. The license is based on BSD License which makes it incompatible with GPL.
