I've added a comparison table which lists only some portable virtual machine designs, and retitled the original list to distinguish it as a list of virtual machine implementations. Jeskeca (talk) 22:43, 12 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I think the page should be renamed to "List of application virtual machines", since no comprasion is done here. Sevcsik (talk) 23:54, 18 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

The first section of the article refers to "CIL" several times, but there is no antecedent for that acronym. One might infer that it is a reference to "CLR", but while a quick look at that page seems to indicate there is a relationship between CIL and CLR, it isn't clear without a more detailed investigation. Please provide clarification. MrRedwood (talk) 22:59, 8 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

guile-1.9 VM

The newest GNU guile (a scheme (programming language) implementation) has a VM that also has an ECMAscript (JavaScript) implementation on it, and some general-design-your-own-language tools for it. It should be listed here ... linas (talk) 22:19, 8 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Parrot and Precompilation

From what I get Parrot supports precompilation. What's the reason for a No on in the table? --Athaba (talk) 18:04, 4 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Shared Library and Dalvik

If this means what i think it means, this should be listed as "YES". The NDK (native development kit) takes JNI code and builds .so's for inclusion in the .apk used for your application or service. 131.107.0.81 (talk) 01:51, 5 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Common Language Object Model

What does this mean? Does it have to do with object access syntax regardless of the client language used? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 160.109.104.44 (talk) 20:34, 3 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Java Virtual Machine

Is the Java Virtual Machine missing from this list? -- Beland (talk) 06:20, 5 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]
