The Institute of Paper Science and Technology (IPST) is one of eight institutes of research at the Georgia Institute of Technology, under which relevant interdisciplinary research is organized. Initially founded in 1929 as the Institute of Paper Chemistry in Appleton Wisconsin, it moved to Georgia Tech's campus in 1989, and integrated its operations with Georgia Tech on July 1, 2003.
