SIGINT Activity Designator (SIGAD) - Designates a Signals Intelligence (SIGINT) line of collection activity.[1] These are associated with a signals collection stations, which may be a base or a ship. For example, Menwith Hill in the UK is USD1000.[1]

The number one SIGAD as of April 2013 is PRISM. PRISM is the "the number one source of raw intelligence used for NSA analytic reports" according to the NSA slides posted on the Washington Post's website.[2] PRISM is the name of a Top Secret electronic surveillance program run by the Special Source Operations unit of the United States National Security Agency that collects data on US citizens and others from participating corporations.
