James "Coop" Cooper (born October 9, 1987) is an American sports, portrait, and events photographer.
Early life
Cooper was born in Montgomery, AL, the son of James Cooper II and Cassandra Cooper. Cooper was raised in Tuskegee Institute, a neighborhood of Tuskegee, Alabama, where he attended Booker T. Washington High School. As a teenager he was very active in sports such as soccer, basketball and baseball. He was also involved in the Alabama 4-H Club in Macon County. In high school he was a member of the Marching Aristocrats Band where he played the cymbals for three years and the quads in his senior year. He was also apart of the concert and jazz band. He is very active is church, where he plays percussion. Cooper began exploring the field of photography in high school.[1]
Career
Cooper has a background in Hospitality Management, where he attended both Alabama A&M University and Tuskegee University. After graduating high school he went to do an internship at Walt Disney World. He has also worked at Creek Casino Wetumpka in Wetumpka, AL; The Kellogg Conference Center & Hotel www
Personal life
Cooper has a younger sister, Lauren Cooper, and an older brother, Gregory Pettway.
