General Dynamics Advanced Information Systems is a business unit of General Dynamics Corporation with over 8,000 employees in over 100 locations.[1] Historically General Dynamics Advanced Information Systems has served customers within the U.S. intelligence, maritime, space, and homeland communities, and has delivered products and services in systems integration, development, and operations support. A large portion of the work the company does is classified.

History

General Dynamics Advanced Information Systems was named in 2002 after a reorganization of General Dynamics Corporation. The company represents the acquisition and realignment of other well known government and defense contractors including GTE, Lucent Technologies, Digital Systems Resources (DSR), Veridian, Motorola and Spectrum Astro.

Cyber Security

General Dynamics Advanced Information Systems is one of three of General Dynamics business units that provides cyber security offerings to the government. These programs and products include: Department of Defense Cyber Crime Center, United States Computer Emergency Readiness Team (US-CERT), DARPA National Cyber Range, and the Department of Homeland Security’s Homeland Security Information Network.
