Creative Visualization reffers to the practice of seeking to effect the outer world via changing one's thoughts. Although various spiritual traditions claim that our thoughts effect the outer world, the phrase "Creative Visualization" came from the New Age Movement.

This is purported to be accomplished by various means, including: expecting the best; focuing intensley on a desired goal, repeating mantras or affirmations.

It is also the name of a book by New Age spiritual teacher Shakti Gwain.
