  • Population and Development Review is a quarterly peer-reviewed academic journal published by Wiley-Blackwell on behalf of the Population Council. The journal was established in 1975. Its current editors-in-chief are Geoffrey McNicoll and Landis MacKellar. The journal focuses on population studies, the relationships between population and economic, environmental, and social change, and related thinking on public policy.

    According to the Journal Citation Reports, the journal has a 2011 impact factor of 2.224, ranking it 1st out of 23 journals in the category "Demography," and 8th out of 138 journals in the category "Sociology".[1]
