Why is it called a Tobit model if the man's name is Tobin? IPTF (talk) 22:51, 23 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Tobit model

The description of the Tobit model is wrong. Y* is observable. Y is partly observable and partly unobservable.

Likelihood function

Why does (capital) Y used in the formula? Is this Y a different vector from y?
