Democracy and Development in Unity (Democratie en Ontwikkeling in Eenheid, DOE) is a political party in Suriname. At the last legislative elections (25 May 2010) the party won 12.095 votes and one seat in The National Assembly. The political leader Carl Breeveld, a known predicant in Surinam, is DNA member since 2010. The party is a reformist party, it will strengthen human rights and seeks to promote democratic and constitutional spirit in Suriname. DOE is known as a party not participating in polarization, but goes for the national interest. The party is entered the fight with corruption in Surinam government and society. The party is founded in 2 december 1999.
