}}Ladies' Code is a South Korean girl group formed by Polaris Entertainment in 2013. Consisting of leader Ashley, with members RiSe, Sojung, Zuny, and EunB, they made their debut with the mini-album Code #01, with the lead track Bad Girl, which is released in March 7, 2013.
History
Pre-debut
The group already garnered massive popularity even before its debut. Most of the members are already on the entertainment industry even before their debut. Member RiSe gained popularity by starring on the talent show named Birth of a Great Star, and finished being the winner, aloong with David Oh[1]. She then appeared again with David Oh as a couple on the couple-making show entitled We Got Married.[2] Member Sojung was a finalist and finished at Top 8 on the talent show entitled The Voice of Korea.[3] Member EunB has a relative which is Kim Sung Joon, a news reporter.[4] Leader Ashley recently became an internet sensation, by uploading dance covers of famous K-pop songs on YouTube, with the channel named ashleychOi.
2012: Debut
Last February, member Sojung confirmed that she will join a girl group formed by Polaris Entertainment, adn they will debut this March. Starting from February 24, they released Rise's teaser[5], 25 for Sojung, 26 for EunB, 27 and 28 for Zuny and leader Ashley respectively. On March 3, they released their teaser featuring the bad guys for their music video. They released their song and music video physically and digitally on March 7. Just the day after their debut, their song charted high on real-time charts, peaking at #8, #9, and #10 on Soribada, Daum, and Naver real-time charts. They had their first live performance on M! Countdownon March 7, the day of their debut.
