Changing your Username
Is it possible to change your user name? Anonymous_anonymous Have a Nice Day 21:45, 28 April 2006 (UTC)
- In many cases yes, see WP:CHU --pgk(talk) 21:48, 28 April 2006 (UTC)
List of most active users page
Hi I remember visiting a page with the list of the most active members months ago but I can't remember the page name. What is it? Anonymous_anonymous_Have a Nice DayI've been waiting all these years to see you again 20:53, 8 May 2006 (UTC)

Physics Question
Besides expanding, what else happens to a piece of wood in an oxygen-free room at 10000 degrees celsius? (Answer question on my Talk page ) Anonymous_anonymous_Have a Nice Day 13:13, 17 May 2006 (UTC)
At high enough temperature the bonds will break and the components of wood would float around in oxygen free air. Ohanian 13:40, 17 May 2006 (UTC)
- Most of the organic compounds would be decomposed (but not combusted) to form simpler compounds. The process is called pyrolysis. See also thermolysis and dry distillation. --Ed (Edgar181) 17:10, 17 May 2006 (UTC)
- At 10,000°C, would there be any sort of compound molecules left? And pressure would have to be consided in here somewhere. If the wood were suddenly introduced, and had enough mass, wouldn't the "room" possibly explode? --Seejyb 22:23, 17 May 2006 (UTC)
- There's gonna be nothing left intact. Ten thousand degrees is hotter than the surface of most stars—the Sun's surface is less than six thousand degrees. Not only will the material be atomized, a good fraction of its constituent atoms will be ionized. You're going to get a plasma. In principle, the pressure in your container will increase when you add additional material; the stuff will behave like a gas in that regard. (Of course, you will also have to add heat; the pressure will drop as the room 'air' gets cooled by the addition of your wood.) TenOfAllTrades(talk) 03:08, 18 May 2006 (UTC)

Message from Powersman/User:216.173.0.58
hi was my contribution to the "Doc Holliday" page considered vandalism? I honestly don't understand. There really is an extremely well-known bar in the East Village called "Doc Holliday's" that features murals of Holliday on all the walls, inside and out, plays mainly Hank Williams, Sr. music on the jukebox, and the bartendresses do periodically dance on the bar, similarly to "Coyote Ugly's," another well-known bar a block away. (It's not a strip club, if that's what you were thinking.) It's the single most overtly visible evidence of Doc Holliday's continuing influence on popular culture in New York City. By the way, I'm not logged on under my Wikipedia name because I'm at a work computer and I've forgotten my password, but my Wikipedia name is "Powersman," and I've contributed a fairly large number of articles over the past six or seven months, mostly involving old television shows and films. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 216.173.0.58 (talk)
- This is "Powersman" again about the Doc Holliday page. Thanks, I can certainly see how you might assume my insertion about Doc Holliday's bar is a practical joke if you've never actually been there and seen the place (the whole bar is a tribute to Doc Holliday). I'll have to go in and figure out my password when I get home and start logging on properly from now on when I make additions. Thanks for your quick response. (Hope to see you at Doc Holliday's on Avenue A one day.) — Preceding unsigned comment added by 216.173.0.58 (talk)
admin poll?
Hello, and thanks for your response. Were you planning on posting the results of your poll anywhere? I'm curious how other Wikipedians have responded. --Tachikoma 23:55, 12 May 2006 (UTC)

My RFA

Hi Anonymous anonymous,
Thank you for supporting my RFA! Unfortunately it did not succeed mainly because most opposers wanted me to spend more time on Wikipedia. Thank you for your faith in me & looking forward to your continued support in the future.
Cheers

your custom welcome template
When using template tags on talk pages, don't forget to substitute with text by adding subst: to the template tag. For example, use {{subst:test}} instead of {{test}}. This reduces server load and prevents accidental blanking of the template. Thanks for welcoming people though! Keep it up! —L1AM (talk) 06:21, 17 May 2006 (UTC)
Poll?
Hey there! I got a message from you, but Tony reverted it and deleted the template before I had a chance to read it. I propose that you create it as your subpage, for example User:Anonymous anonymous/message, and then deliver it by placing {{subst:User:Anonymous anonymous/message}}
. Cheers! Misza13 T C 14:42, 13 May 2006 (UTC)
Question 1. Are you an Administrator?
- Not yet.
Question 2a. If you are when did you become an administrator?
Question 2b. If you're not has anyone nominated you to become one?
- Not yet, but some have proposed that I should run (on IRC mainly).
Question 3. Would you like to become an administrator someday?
- Yes, I would. My schedule plans an Editor review by the end of May and an RfA at least a month later.

My RfA
re:Happy Birthday
Thank you so much for your kind words on this, my 1 year Wikibirthday. It's been a long year, but I've learned a great deal, and thanks for joining in. With any luck, we'll both be around come February 25, 2007, so I can wish you the same. Happy editing, Mysekurity [m!] 20:46, 15 May 2006 (UTC)
Signature
Hello. I have noticed you have been updating the wikidefcon template. I was wondering if you could add some space to your signature. The underscores don't break at the end of a line, and therefor your sig increases the width of the template. Normally that wouldn't be a problem, but the wdefcon template is transcluded in a number of pages, including my userpage. Changing the width of the template breaks my userpage, so if you could change the underscores to spaces, that would be great. Here is an example of what happens. On the left is the template with your sig, on the right with no sig. Prodego talk

Welcome, Anonymous anonymous to Wikipedia:WikiProject Proposed Deletion Patrolling! It's an ugly job but someone has to do it, and I'm glad you've signed up. You can help by adding the project page to your watchlist. When you want to do some patrolling, take a look at the task list which will help us coordinate our efforts. You can monitor this from a user page or anywhere else by adding {{Wikipedia:WikiProject Proposed Deletion Patrolling}} to that page and checking it from time to time. Thanks again! Is there any way the pictures/emblems of certain organizations be changed on their wiki pages? I adding/tried replacing the Central Reserve Police Force's official emblem, however could not succeed. Also, is there a way I get notified by email of the changes or fresh editings on the pages I keep on "watch" ? — Preceding unsigned comment added by DPUpadhyay (talk • contribs)
