Within biology, the term "explicit memory" is more commonly used than "declarative memory".

Since neurology per definition is referred to the branch of medicine that studies/deals with somatic illness in the nervous system, it is technically wrong to talk about "the neurology of declarative memory". This is why I changed the title to "neuropsychology", which anyway is traditionally the most common branch of science studying biological foundation of memory.
