This is an article about using the Wayback Machine in Wikipedia. For information about the Internet Archive's Wayback Machine, see Wayback Machine.
To use the Wayback Machine in Wikipedia, replace the colon (:) in http:// with %3A, as this will allow the wayback machine to understand the request, and allow the Wikipedia software to link correctly (Without this fix, the link is not formatted properly).
If you are linking to all versions of the page, such as
http://web.archive.org/web/*/www.google.com
then please use a %2A where the * goes, again to allow Wikipedia software to correctly format the link.
