Ceuthophilus
Ceuthophilus Scudder, 1862 Description: Medium in size; body thick, always dorsally arched; head oval, lacking anterior projection of vertex, bent downward and backward between forelegs; antennae long, slender, cylindrical, tapered; hind femur thick, usually spined beneath in males, feebly armed in females; all tarsi with four segments; fore tibia with spines only at apex; ovipositor nearly straight, stout at base, tapering to middle, dorsal valves upturned apically, ventral valves with five or six teeth near apex, apical tooth usually hook-like.
