Encash Network Service
Template:Future product The Encash Network Service or ENS is a planned interbank network that would connect the ATMs of four rural banks in the Philippines, eventually aiming to expand to include all rural banks in the Philippines. Its main competitor is likely to be Nationlink, which caters to the same clientele. Like Nationlink, the ENS also plans to connect with the three main Philippine interbank networks, which are BancNet, Expressnet and MegaLink.
The ENS is expected to provide a low-cost solution for banks who wish to utilize ATMs but cannot afford the costs of connecting to any of the three main networks. It could also be the first interbank network in the Philippines to fully adopt EMV technology on all its ATM cards, although the regular magnetic stripe cards are also an option for the network.
The ENS is also planning to implement an EFTPOS network, although when this could happen is still unknown. The ATM portion of the ENS is set for launch by the fourth quarter of 2006.
